Set in the peaceful and picturesque hamstone village of Montacute, a 5 minute drive off the A303, The Phelips Arms is a 17th century pub full of character and charm. At the heart of the community, we have lots of events each month including live music, cocktail nights, book club, bingo and more!
We serve delicious home-cooked traditional pub fayre at reasonable prices, as well as Palmers fine ales, Dorset Orchards cider and a selection of lagers, wines and soft drinks. Comfortable seating inside with a warm, cosy fire lit in the winter or enjoy sitting in our beautiful beer garden in the summer. We also have a private function room and skittle alley.
Offering accommodation upstairs in several lovely rooms, The Phelips Arms makes a great base for exploring the area and its many attractions, from the Elizabethan splendour of Montacute House to the high octane attractions of the Haynes International Motor Museum.

We've got 3 live music acts lined up in June starting with the talented and popular Jorden Lindsay on Sunday 5th at 3pm - 5pm, then QuickSilver rock band on skittles and curry night 17th June at 8:30 - 10:30 in our beer garden and then local vocalist Kelly Dale with Emerald Jazz on 25th June at 8:30 - 10:30.
Join us for our next Book Club evening on 21st June at 7:30. The book to be discussed at this next meeting is Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus and for July's meeting the book is Beekeeper in Aleppo by Christy Lefteri. The Book Club meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
